Monday Brief — Harbour Dental
Example · 22–28 September, compared with the week before
The headline
Fewer visits, but better ones. The drop is Direct traffic that doesn't engage, which looks like bots, not lost patients. Search traffic and bookings both went up.
Visitors (Google Analytics)
- 412 visits, down from 468. Engaged visits up: 231 vs 204.
- Google search drove the gain: 188 visits vs 151.
- 14 booking requests, up from 9.
Google search (Search Console)
- 203 clicks from 9,840 impressions (last week 171 from 9,120). Average position 11.2, from 12.6.
- “emergency dentist northern beaches” sits at position 9 with 640 impressions and 12 clicks. A better title would move it to page one.
Visitor behaviour (Clarity, last 3 days)
- 96 real sessions, 71 bot sessions filtered. 58% on mobile.
- Rage clicks on the booking button on 9% of mobile sessions. Worth a look.
Three things to do this week
- Retitle the emergency page: “Emergency Dentist Northern Beaches — Same-Day Appointments”.
- Watch two Clarity recordings with rage clicks on the booking button and fix whatever is blocking it on mobile.
- Add a bot filter in GA4 so Direct stops hiding the real picture.
